New York Times

Editorial for New York Times for an article about developing intuitive ways of understanding large sources of data or data overload and extracting order from what appears as chaos. It spoke of ‘frameworks of recognition’ and ‘how you choose to look, rather than what you’re trying to see’ and our illustration was very much a play on these two quotes from the article. We liked the idea of hidden patterns, and finding order within an overall chaotic setting. For the online version of the article, we also made an animated version of the illustration.
